My brother grew out of his Sesame Street shirt and asked me if I wanted it. The first thing that came to mind a DIY project. I love to make tank tops out of old shirts because to me, it gives them a new start.
What you will need:
- An old baggy/oversized shirt you don't want anymore
- Scissors that will cut cloth without leaving jagged edges
- A pen that will easily mark the shirt
- A ruler
Make two marks on the shirt. The first one should be a LITTLE bit away from the collar, not too close and not too far. Then the second should be however far away, depending on how thick or thin you want the strap to be.
Then make another mark just below the sleeve of the shirt, this aloso depends on how low you want the shirt sleeve to go.
Connect the second mark on the shoulder of the shirt with the line below the sleeve. Make sure it's slightly curved, not just a straigt line. Then do the same on the other side. You should end up with something like this.
Then if it's too long, take something with a straight edge and make a line with your pen across he bottom of the shirt. Then cut across, it will be slightly curled up, but thats normal.
It should look like this:
Hope you guys like your new shirts. :)
P.S. After you cut your shirts you can cut the bottom and create a fringe on the ends. Might do that for my next upload. :D
